And we're slowly reaching the climax of the story! Only around 20 chapters left.

Chapter 30
Once several hours had passed, and after hiding in the bunker, Chris had convinced the others to turn around and burry Simmons. His Godfather deserved much better then the makeshift funeral they gave him, but constrained for time, it was the best they could give him. Placing one final rock on the pile, and making sure the makeshift wooden cross remained, he took a step back and sighed a bit, petting the pile of rocks, he looked back at the others. Daniel looked the worse off of all of them, and with good reason, Simmons had lost his life protecting him, he could only imagine how horrible Daniel felt. It was night by now, and the small group now had a fire going, the Stunticons having fled long ago, it was once again safe to do so. "That's it. It's over!" Mark commented, frustration hitting him "Without Simmons, we'll be doing all of this blindly."
"Mark's right, we can't just keep going like this, not without Simmons. He knew better of what to do then most of us." Monica fidgeted slightly, her voice was quiet and solemn, and her eyes nearly as red as Chris's from crying "We should turn back."
Chris sighed a bit, understanding completely why they were ready to give up hope. But he was not about to do that, his Godfather had died so that they could keep going. He had sacrificed himself for the greater good, he would want them to keep going on their quest. Even if all hope truly seemed lost, he knew Simmons would be telling them those exact same words had he been there right now. He watched as Sides welded the rocks, and the cross together neatly. Slowly he walked forward in between his friends, near the campfire. "Uncle Seymour would want us to keep going." His own voice full of shakiness and uncertainty "He'd want us to see this quest through to the end. But, I think we should make it the six of us again."
"What!? No way Prime I'm going with you!" Daniel stood up slowly.
"Daniel, they were after you. If you continue on with us, it puts you and everyone here in danger. It'd be better for you to be safely in Diego Garcia, we'll drop you off when we pass through." Chris told him, then turned to Prowl "Prowl, you should stay with him. I know we can trust you to keep him and Diego Garcia safe."
"I wish I could go with you." Prowl commented, though he knew Chris was correct, it was best that Daniel have some sort of protection. And as head of security, with all of the Decepticons that were loose, the members of the Diego Garcia base would need him. "But you have my word that I will.
